Companies like Wind Power Solutions, headquartered in Lubbock, have stepped up their operations, investing $150 million in new turbine installations. CEO Sarah Jenkins stated, “We are committed to providing reliable energy solutions for Texans. Our focus on expanding wind capacity is essential as we face unprecedented demand during the summer.”

In Amarillo, residents have expressed concerns about the visual and ecological consequences of large wind farms, prompting discussions between developers and community stakeholders.
