As Texas endures one of the hottest summers on record, natural gas prices have surged, reflecting heightened demand for electricity across the state.
The latest data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration shows that natural gas prices have increased by more than 30% since June, reaching an average of $4.80 per million British thermal units (MMBtu). This sharp rise, attributed to soaring air conditioning usage and increased energy consumption, is placing pressure on consumers and businesses alike.
